When I read the prompt for blog 3 this cultural artifact instantly came to mind for me. star wars the movie has always been an important piece of my life. I first saw this movie when I was a very young boy, and I would marvel at the way space looked and thought about life beyond the earth. This movie really made me think about what it means to be human and I love every piece of the series and universe. Liking star wars wasn't cool like it is today either. When I was younger I was called a nerd and a geek for enjoying science fiction movies like this one but now a days things have changed. People have really opened there eyes to concepts like space travel due to movies like this glorifying and idealizing heroes in these movies. Star wars is a huge movie franchise too. Everyone knows about star wars even people from other places in the world. This movie was also one of the first movies to put a women in a position of power.
